The favorite social network of younger people can recently be accessed through a browser, which partially eliminates the need to use the application. We say partially because if you want to view a particular snap, or photo, you won’t be able to do that through the browser. The reason for this is because taking screenshots from photos cannot be detected via a computer (hand on heart, it is very easy to take a screenshot discreetly via the phone app as well).
Visiting the Snapchat web site requires you to first log in and then approve a browser login request from the app. The whole experience is intuitive and unusually familiar, especially if you’ve been using the app for a long time. You can easily set to receive notifications from the browser every time someone “snaps” something, as well as set light or dark mode. All other options are available and work in the same way as through the application.
If you’ve been using Snapchat for a long time, what’s your opinion on the whole desktop transition?
